Cellulose diacetate tow (tow for short) is made from natural cellulose such as wood pulp or cotton pulp, acetylated into cellulose diacetate flakes, processed through the production processes of dissolution, filtration, spinning, crimping, drying, etc. It's a kind of food- grade precision filtration material mainly used for making cigarette filters.The tow is a kind of regenerated cellulose fibre with the characteristics of moisture absorption and good adsorption. The cross-section of monofilament fibre is in the shape of Y. The fibre has a large specific surface area, which has a better adsorption and retention effect on the harmful components in cigarette smoke.

Cellulose Diacetate Tablets
Cellulose diacetate tablets (referred to as CDA) is a kind of modified regenerated cellulose, in the form of white powder granules or tablets, which is the main raw material for the production of CDA fibre tows for cigarettes. Vinyl production is based on high-purity wood pulp or cotton pulp and other natural cellulose as raw materials, acetic anhydride as an acetylating agent, acetic acid as a solvent, under the action of the catalyst sulfuric acid, the natural cellulose acetylation. After pretreatment, acetylation, hydrolysis, precipitation, washing, dehydration, drying and other processes, the natural cellulose can be modified to become soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, with spinnable cellulose diacetate materials.
